As a Broadway performer, Pilar came into her love of fitness after sustaining an overuse injury from dancing 8 shows per week. Incorporating physical therapy into her injury recovery opened the door to learning how to workout smarter, not harder. Using her dance background, she began to explore how to incorporate strength training and metabolic conditioning to train the body to function and feel its best NOT simply to look a certain way or to offset a bad diet!
Tired of hearing the narrative sold to women that they have to do hours of cardio and eat less calories (not true!) she studied functional fitness and became certified through the American Council on Exercise (ACE), using science-based sequencing to build personal workouts for her clients who had tried other methods and just didn’t see results. She holds additional certifications in Lifebarre (barre), bodyART, pre- and post-natal training, and ReXist360 (HIIT).
Working with clients from ages 22 - 92 since 2014, Pilar uses these principles to guide people to reach their goals - whether it’s weight loss, muscle building, cardiovascular conditioning or simply wanting to feel your best.
